Hi All.
Well we celebrated our 21st Birthday a year late in 2011 but it
was worth the wait. We had a ball! Thanks to our international
members who made the trip and to all the girls who celebrated
the event in many different ways.
A few of us headed to Wales
for Easter and the weather was fabulous! Thanks to the Harley
Riders Club in Talgarth who gave us such a good time and to Pip
and Jan in the Tower hotel who took such good care of us.
Yes its true Black Widows Ireland are 22 years old this year! (I know its hard to believe some of us are that old but well we were babies when we founded the club way back in 1989. My god we have managed to span two centuries!!
Much has happened over the past 21 years and we have had some fantastic times. What the next 21 years hold is yet to be seen and that is up to us and all new women we are lucky enough to welcome into the club. Thankfully being an all female club we have the ability to re populate the club and over the past 21 years we have had nine babies born to club members.
And YES they were all girls! Our eldest club baby is now 18 years old and the youngest is 18 months. Despite being called Black Widows Ireland our members are spread across Europe and Ireland relates to the heritage of the club. This website is dedicated to Ciara one of our earliest members and our webmaster who was lost to us six years ago and a page is dedicated to her memory. We will be working on this site over the next few weeks and we have taken down the pictures of all past members out of respect for their privacy. If any past members would like to still be included in this site please contact us and let us know. We would be delighted to put your mugs back up! After all you are part of our history.
